Privacy Policy

NOIRA is built for people who value privacy above all else. We designed the platform so that your real identity is never required to participate. This policy explains what limited information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

To keep NOIRA running reliably, we collect only what we need:

• Account data: an anonymous account identifier and your chosen anonymous username.
• Content: messages you send in rooms, retained only as needed to deliver the service.
• Technical data: device type, app version, a device identifier, and diagnostic/crash logs.
• Usage data: aggregated, anonymized analytics about how the app is used.

We do not ask for your legal name, phone number, or physical address to use NOIRA.

NOIRA uses Firebase Authentication to create a secure, anonymous session for your device. This lets us keep your rooms and settings in sync without ever tying your account to a real-world identity. We never see or store a password in plain text.

You participate under an anonymous username of your choosing. It is not linked to your legal identity and is visible to other members only within the app. Choose a username that does not reveal personal information about you.

NOIRA runs on Google Firebase for authentication, realtime messaging, and backend storage. Data processed through Firebase is handled on our behalf under Google's own security and privacy commitments. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy.

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate trends — such as which features are used and where errors occur — so we can improve NOIRA. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

If you enable notifications, we use a push token to alert you about new messages and activity. Notifications are optional — you can turn them off at any time from your device settings, and the push token is removed when you do.

NOIRA may display ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may use advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. Depending on your region, you can reset or limit ad personalization through your device's privacy settings, and we honor consent choices where required by law.

We use the data above solely to deliver messages in real time, authenticate your device, send notifications you opted into, prevent abuse, display ads, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal data.

We retain data only as long as necessary to operate the service and meet legal obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@noira.chat.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@noira.chat from within the app or from your registered device. Once verified, we permanently remove your account data, subject to any retention required by law.

NOIRA is not directed to children under the age required by your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “Last updated” date.
